Welcome to the 2023 Belize Service Trip Information and Registration Page!
We're looking for 6-12 FDM practitioners who have taken at least one FDM module and have a desire to spread FDM to others.
Here you will find information about this special trip and links to registration.

The intent of this service trip is to spread FDM to a needy area, teaching the physicians of Belize how to implement FDM on their patients. At the end of the seminar we will have FDM clinics open to the community where we can hone our skills and help many local people.

Teaching Fascial Distortion Model in Belize

Important info:
Dates: March 19-26.

Arrival/Departure city: Plan your flight to arrive in Belize City, Belize in the early afternoon of March 19th. Departing flights should be scheduled for late morning of March 26th.

Cost: $2095, payable to International Service Learning (ISL). This cost includes housing during the week, transportation within Belize, 2 meals per day, and some cultural activities. The fee we pay to the non-profit ISL also helps subsidize the physicians of Belize so they can take time out of work for this learning experience.

Agenda: (subject to change)
March 19th will be arrival day to Belize City, road travel to San Ignacio, and settling in.
March 20th and 21st: FDM Module 3 for the physicians of Belize. Our group from the US will be assisting with the hands-on teaching for the basics of FDM.
March 22nd and 23rd: FDM clinics open to the public. We will likely treat over 100 people using small teams to maximize results and learning. Cultural activities will occur after treatment clinics.

March 24th: Possible clinic day and more cultural activity.

March 25th: Travel to the Caribbean and boat transit to Caye Caulker for an overnight stay.

March 26th: Return to Belize City for departure flights.

Cultural activity:
When we're not spreading the awesomeness of FDM, will will also be experiencing the wonders of Belize.
In addition to being able to sample the tantalizing traditional food of Belize, and the welcoming spirit of the Belizean people we will also have side trips to some of the best locations to visit.
One planned side trip is a rafting journey through a cave system.
We will also be traveling to amazing Mayan ruins, likely the same one shown below from our previous FDM Belize trip from early 2020.

For some rest and relaxation, we head to the island of Caye Caulker by ferry boat for a final night of our adventure.  Side trips of snorkeling or diving are available in the beautiful blue waters.
